Always meet at least one of the parents - usually the mother is the one who's available - to ensure that they have nice temperaments that you're comfortable with. Puppies with nice temperaments are curious and playful, willing to approach people and be held by them. Temperament is affected by a number of factors, including heredity, training, and socialization. He's aggressive only in defense of his family and home. Strangers are greeted with a wary attitude, but he responds politely to friendly people. When he's not clowning for you, he's dignified and self-assured. I also highly recommend before purchasing a Boxer that you make sure you will have the time for proper training, as lack of training is the #1 reason Boxers end up in Boxer Rescue.The Boxer puppies is described as a "hearing" guard dog, meaning he's alert and watchful. Boxers adore their family and it is very important that they be apart of it. If you are looking for a dog that is independent, a Boxer is not for you as their family is very important to them and they tend to want to follow you around all day long. Please make sure a Boxer is for you before purchasing one as they will test your patience at times. Patrol duty, stealing children's toys to get everyone to chase after them, they are prone to collect shoes into piles (they seem to think this is an important job), re-arranging the laundry is a favorite past time (Boxers are always very helpful!!), prized e and get it from me! Life with a Boxer is never dull !!! They are silly and very much a jokester. They love to be a part of the family and enjoy any activity that involves interaction with people, be that hiking, jogging, agility, games that make them think, lounging, babysitting, learning (try clicker training), ![]() Our parents are DNA tested for ARVC & DM to help us avoid producing ARVC and DM at risk offspring, and to significantly reduce the gene frequency in future generations by helping to eliminate carriers from the breeding pool to better the breed for the future.Ä«oxers make wonderful family pets, they are great with kids and have excellent temperaments, but they are not for everyone. We utilize selective breeding practices to try and breed away from ARVC and DM in our lines. We know that we have a very limited amount of time before our puppies will be leaving us and joining their new families we feel it is our responsibility to get our puppies off on a great start in life while they are here with us, this helps ensure they will be ready and able to become a valued and much loved member of their new family. We do not have puppies all the time, as we chose to only have a few litters per year in doing so we are able to dedicate a lot of time, care, love, and attention to each and every one of our puppies.
